What are the benefits of Insoles or Orthotics?

Foot orthotics are specially designed shoe inserts which help restore the natural position of the foot and thus help to correct, if required, the malalignment of the body and in turn the gait pattern. Orthotics can then effectively treat bone, muscle, tendon and leg pain in the foot, knee, hip, or lower back for example, plantar fasciitis, metatarsalagia, shin splints, acute tendonitis etc.

The Practice can provide simple insoles or more complex moulded orthotics. Along with the added benefit of a highly qualified physiotherapist in-house, we offer interaction between the podiatrist and physiotherapist to achieve the best results.

Sarah treats children of all ages providing diagnosis to those who have problems walking or suffering from pain in their feet and legs, this may be in the form of specific insoles for correction.

Laser Therapy

Also available is a newly acquired low-level Laser Therapy which is extremely effective in pain relief for eg Plantar Fasciitis, Arthritic Joint. Laser is also a pain free treatment for troublesome verrucae.

For your own safety & ours only sterile disposable scalpel blades and needles are used.
All instruments are sterilized between treatments.
