Chiropody in Tarporley in Cheshire
Chiropody (also known as Podiatry) is a specialised, registered and regulated health profession, concerned with the clinical diagnosis, treatment and management of a wide range of conditions affecting the human foot and lower limb.
Our team of Chiropody/Podiatry specislists diagnose and treat all foot ailments, Sarah Johnson and Joanna Fellows specialise in biomechanical dysfunction. They have an in depth understanding of how the foot moves and interacts with the ground when you walk. This understanding is important as subtle variations in foot function can lead to increased stress on the skin of the foot leading to blisters, calluses, bunions and more.
Debbie Russell has a keen interest in chiropody care for the high risk patient, for example patients with systemic conditions such as Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Skin and nail conditions of the foot are also common amongst patients with these medical conditions.
Regular Chiropody Maintenance is also needed:
If you suffer from diabetes, a high risk systemic condition, poor circulation, disabling arthritic condition or calluses, corns, thickened toenails; regular visits for general Chiropody care are your best option. Not only will this keep your feet more comfortable on a daily basis, but regular chiropody check–ups will help to keep you active and pain–free.
Ingrowing Toenails
We offer advice and treatment for painful and troublesome toe nails, also providing preventative maintenance and/or surgery if required. A partial nail avulsion is the removal of a small section of nail with phenolisation under local anaesthesia to give a long term solution of an involuted or ingrowing toe nail.
